Subscribe to a number of high volume blog sites and try to finish reading. You will be never able to finish and the frustration will hit you.

Every day these sites try to stuff you more than 30 entries. If you have left the RSS reader a couple of days, you probably need to check them off as read or do a quick scan of it. Using google reader is recommended as you can quickly scan them. However, you will find reading is no longer fun and you may end up with unsubscribing such blog sites to get the peace of mind…

If you are a blog site owners reading this, you may consider how you can help relieve the stress of your subscribers by limiting number of post per day (5 posts per day can be much better than 30) or provide category feeds for subscription or you may lose quite a number of frustrated subscribers like me.

 Whenever you have a new theme or new plug-in to try, you will never want to decompress the files and use ftp to upload the files again.

So what I can tell you is that bad translation should be avoided to be used in real-life production! I will create more headaches than convenience!

I have just taken it from a KCR train. Please be assured - the thing that can’t boot up isn’t the train. It won’t crash anyway. It is just the Newsline Express (the TV set which show Cable TV News) can’t boot up. But it is so funny that seeing the disk boot failure screen shown on a TV set.

I am now at MTR Admiralty station at the end of a queue. It is really hot here.Can you see how many people are waiting for taking the train? I have to wait for four trains in order to get on board!

Though it requires you to edit the text-based configuration file (autohotkey.ini) in a text editor (like notepad), its functionality is much richer than WinKey. Not only you can launch files and folders, you can also write scripts to automate your tasks, control your mouse, and even write GUI(!) to receive input from users!

The fun doesn’t end here. The most amazing thing is that you can compile your script as a standalone application! I have written a clock which ticks every second and is always-on-top, draggable, and customizable. It also has a transparent background. It is also a handy stopwatch and slient timer!!

First of all, you need WinAmp installed (don’t you have it installed already?). Then, you need CLAmp which can control WinAmp by command line.

After you have both of them installed (you can place the clamp.exe to anywhere you like), you can then start creating your own playlist (include the songs that will wake you up!). Save the playlist as a .m3u file (mp3 playlist). the write a batch file - a plain text file with a .bat extension. The content should be: (clamp.exe is being installed in c:\Program Files\Winamp\ in the following example, the playlist is “d:\alarm.m3u”)

You can test the alarm by selecting the “run” command after right-clicking the the task icon.

My new PC’s CPU is a Pentium D 830 which is dual-core running at the speed of 3.0GHz (i.e. there are two 3.0GHz CPUs running in my computer). And I have it 1 GB RAM installed and I moved the DVD-ROM and DVD Writer from my old PC to the new one. The new PC also have a good display card - an nVidia Geforce 6600PE with 128MB DDR3 RAM.

Recently, I have been using the new PC for playing newest games such as Shin Sangoku Musou 3 (真三國無雙3) and Need for Speed Underground 2. These games loasds very fast in my new PC (they will not run on my old PC - My old PC is a Pentium III 800MHz) and the 3D graphics are superb! I am nearly addicted to them.

My new PC is a good gaming platform yet it is bought intended for speeding up my work. The migration of the new PC form the old PC is done slowly because the old PC is still functional (but much slower, of course). I will eventually make the new PC my major working platform. Need some time though.

• First, making podcast is very easy. Any one have a sound card in their computer can record their own voice with a microphone and with little more knowledge, they can convert the audio clip to mp3 format and publish it and the software can be obtained at no cost (open source software).
• Second, the RSS technology enable users subscribe to any newsfeed with their computer allowing them to read them altogether which can save them a lot of time. Additionally, Apple computer has utilized the technology to let iTunes users to subscribe to mp3 files. And this step made dramatic change to the broadcasting industry.
• Third, podcasts can be subscribed and downloaded. I considered this is the most important reason for the popularity of podcasting. Listeners are allowed listen to the podcasts any time convenient to them. On the other hand, internet live radio doesn’t provide a convenient method for listeners to download the whole programme to their mp3 players and let them listen to it later. Therefore, users can take away and listen to the podcasts anywhere even there is no internet connection (such as vehicless, bathrooms(!) and offices) which make the podcast can be listened almost anywhere (while internet live radios require internet connection during listening which is not available or expensive in certain situations).
• Fourth, the popularity of mp3-capable players (eapecially iPod) and devices makes listening to podcasts is much easier.
• Fifth, the popularity of broadband network making users more willing to download larger files (like lengthy podcasts).

in fact some people consider podcasting is simply stupid (because it requires longer production time (comparing with preparing a text articles), users cannot skim podcasts, etc). But still there are rooms for this kind of broadcasting to grow (such as info-tainment programmes which is impossible to implement with text).

Of course, I haven’t mentioned all reasons of why podcasting is hot. If you find some more, you may post a comment to support this post!
