Hoping for a career advancement

Working in Education Sector for nearly 4.5 years, I am now actively seeking an opportunity to change my job nature in business sector. I am trying to find a new job which can utilitize both my technical skills and communication skills. Yesterday, a friend introduced me to have a job interview in the company he is now working for. I am quite interested in the position as I will have opportunity to learn new technologies from different software vendors and provide demonstrations and presentations to clients. I am now looking forward to the second interview with the General Manager. If the interview successful, I will get a raise in my salary, too.
